Make an Impact During a Critical Period of Growth and Change

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join a dynamic organization during an important period of growth, transformation, and organizational change. This is a high-impact contract opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who thrives at the intersection of employee relations, leadership support, talent management, workforce planning, and strategic HR initiatives.

In this role, you will partner closely with HR leadership and business leaders to navigate complex employee matters, strengthen people management practices, support organizational change, and execute key HR projects across the business.

The ideal candidate brings strong employee relations expertise, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to advise leaders through sensitive and complex workplace situations. You should be equally comfortable coaching a manager through a performance issue, supporting workforce planning initiatives, managing confidential employee matters, and driving HR projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who wants to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced, evolving organization.

What You'll Do

Employee Relations & Leadership Support

  • Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to navigate employee relations matters and strengthen effective people management practices.
  • Advise and support leaders on employee performance, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, documentation, and employee communications.
  • Support performance management processes, including coaching conversations, development planning, performance improvement efforts, and documentation.
  • Help resolve sensitive employee issues with professionalism, empathy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, inclusive, and employee-centered workplace culture.

Talent Management & Workforce Initiatives

  • Support talent management programs and workforce planning initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to employee retention strategies, organizational effectiveness initiatives, and strategic people programs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify workforce challenges and develop thoughtful, practical solutions.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through communication planning, implementation activities, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

HR Project Management & Execution

  • Coordinate and execute strategic HR projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is complete, organized, and compliant.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, communications, and other materials related to HR initiatives and workforce trends.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and status updates for HR leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive consistency and accuracy across HR processes, documentation, and communications.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel, when appropriate, on complex employee matters.
  • Review and maintain HR documentation to promote compliance, consistency, and effective risk mitigation.
  • Exercise the highest level of discretion when handling confidential employee and business information.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant hands-on employee relations responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience advising managers and leaders on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, workforce planning, talent management, employee retention, or other strategic HR initiatives is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, empathy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic document management systems.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is more than a traditional HR support role. You'll have the opportunity to serve as a trusted partner during a meaningful period of organizational growth and change, helping leaders navigate complex people matters while contributing to strategic workforce initiatives that directly impact the employee experience.

If you're an experienced HR professional who combines strong employee relations expertise, business judgment, empathy, and the ability to execute, this opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate and visible impact—all while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.
