Fullstack Trust & Safety Engineer ($50–$62/hr)
Contract: 5 months (potential for extension)
Location: Fully Remote – United States
The Mission
This role sits at the intersection of technology, safety, and social impact. You’ll help build systems that protect women throughout the dating journey, from preventing catfishing to supporting criminal and sex offender screening by designing scalable, privacy-conscious Trust & Safety infrastructure that truly makes a difference.
The Opportunity
This is a short-term, high-impact assignment for a mission-driven Fullstack Engineer who thrives in early-stage environments. You’ll be building from the ground up, no legacy systems, no rigid playbooks. You’ll own projects end-to-end, move quickly, and ship production-ready code that safeguards millions of users. Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and accountability is essential.
What You’ll Do
· Architect and implement scalable systems that power Trust & Safety operations.
· Build internal dashboards and tools used by global investigation and moderation teams.
· Develop automated content classification, risk scoring, and abuse-detection systems to combat bots, harassment, and platform misuse.
· Design and maintain data pipelines to analyze user behavior and identify emerging safety threats.
· Partner closely with Trust & Safety stakeholders to translate evolving policies into technical solutions.
· Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and stability across critical user flows.
Who You Are
· A scrappy, hands-on builder who enjoys creating structure where none exists.
· Experienced working deep in the “trenches” of Trust & Safety, abuse prevention, or platform security.
· Highly aware of the balance between aggressive protection and user privacy.
· Naturally analytical—you enjoy investigating large datasets and reducing false positives.
· Comfortable shipping in fast-moving environments where product and policy evolve frequently.
Requirements
· 4+ years of professional fullstack engineering experience, ideally in Trust & Safety, security, or abuse-prevention contexts.
· Proven experience building data pipelines, anomaly detection, or risk-scoring systems.
· Hands-on experience creating automated content moderation or verification solutions from scratch.
· Strong ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver in a lean startup environment.
