Title: Logistics & Transportation Account Manager (Remote)

Location: Remote (MUST be based in Seattle, WA)

Payrate: $50-60k Salary + Profit Sharing (First year expectation $55k-$75k, potential $100k+ second year)

Duration: 12-month ongoing contract (Excellent potential for permanent based on performance)

Hours: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Flexible start between 6am-9am PST | Occasional weekends with advance notice

Start Date: Available immediately

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Logistics & Transportation Account Manager to play a critical role in our operations while building valuable carrier relationships.

This hybrid role combines operations management with light carrier sales, making it perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves problem-solving. You'll ensure shipments move seamlessly from pickup to delivery while expanding our carrier network. What You'll Do:

  • Schedule and coordinate pickup and delivery times across FTL, LTL, and drayage operations
  • Negotiate rates and service terms with carrier partners to secure competitive pricing
  • Communicate effectively with shippers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage shipment details using transportation platforms for real-time visibility and tracking
  • Provide timely, proactive updates to clients and resolve issues quickly to ensure on-time delivery
  • Source and manage carrier relationships to move freight efficiently across North America
  • Expand existing carrier base and identify new capacity opportunities through relationship building
  • Assist Account Managers and Director of Operations with reporting, data entry, and customer support
  • Conduct light sales calls to carriers and build long-term strategic partnerships


What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in Logistics, Carrier Sales, or Transportation Account Management (hotel or aviation industry experience considered)
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills with comfort speaking to customers daily
  • Strong soft skills including process orientation, problem-solving under pressure, and learning from setbacks
  • Detail-oriented workflow with high attention to accuracy and ability to learn from mistakes
  • Experience providing excellent customer service with conflict resolution and empathy
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and ensure shipments are scheduled, picked up, and delivered on time
  • Experience tracking and managing shipments to keep freight moving efficiently
  • Sales mindset with proactive, results-driven approach and comfort with light business development
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments with performance-based motivation
  • Politely persistent attitude with never-give-up mentality for challenging situations
  • Flexible schedule availability including early starts (6am PST) and occasional weekends


Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with logistics software (TMS, WMS, OMS, Emodal, dispatch software)
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to technology changes
